Avocado Smoothie

A green smoothie every morning really is the best way to start the day. In just a month you will see clearer skin and feel so much better with an abundance of energy. Smoothies are also a quick, easy and fun way to incorporate more greens in your daily diet.  Avocados are rich in vitamin E which is great for the skin, heart and fighting free radicals.

Ingredients

A handful of kale

1 small avocado

Juice of 1/2 a lemon

1/2 cup of coconut water (you can add more to adjust the consistency)

1 – 2 red apples depending on how sweet you like it

A handful of cashew nuts

1 tsp of spirulina

1 teaspoon of chia seeds

Optional

I scoop of Vanilla Sun warrior protein powder or hemp protein powder if after an intense workout.

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. That simple. Add ice if you wish. I like to drink all my smoothies and drinks in general at room temperature, as it is healthier and my teeth are very sensitive to anything cold. Enjoy!
