Sauteed Brussels Sprouts With Pomegranate

Christmas day would not be the same without brussels sprouts. I used to hate them as child but like them now, especially since they are so good for you. They are good for the liver. This is a very simple recipe.

Ingredients

1 kg of brussels sprouts trimmed and halved

A generous amount of extra virgin olive oil

2 shallots finely chopped

1 garlic clove finely chopped

1/2 cup of water

Himalayan salt

Pepper

2 tablespoons of  lemon juice

3 tablespoons of pomegranate seeds

Place the  olive oil, shallots, garlic, brussels sprouts, salt and pepper in a pan on a low to medium heat, add a little water and sautee for 8 minutes. Then add half a cup of water and cook until the water has evaporated and the brussels sprouts are tender. Add the lemon juice and Pomegranate seeds. Serve and enjoy!
