I did this smoothie for all you coffee lovers. I know how you all love your coffee in the morning! Personally I have never liked coffee, especially the after taste it leaves in my mouth. I have always been more of a tea drinker. For this smoothie my choice of coffee is barley coffee. You can use dandelion or chicory coffee. If you absolutely must have your coffee by all means have real coffee. The mornings is when the body is most acidic so I will always opt for something alkalising.
Ingredients
1/2 a cup of barley coffee
1 banana
2 tablespoons of coyo coconut yoghurt
1 tsp of maca powder
1/2 a cup of coconut milk
ice
raw cacao nibs to sprinkle on top
Optional
1 scoop of Sunwarrior Vegan protein powder
Place all the ingredients except for the cacao nibs in the blender and blend until smooth. Serve with cacao nibs and enjoy!
