The benefits of wheatgrass

Wheatgrass is probably my favourite out of all the superfoods for its endless health benefits. It is extremely alkalising, rejuvinating and rich in chlorophyll.  When I am in London I grow my own, when traveling I use  a powdered form. I have always struggled with the taste as it is quite strong compared to the other superfoods, but I have found that wheatgrass  powder by Organic Burst does not taste bad at all. I normally drink it on it’s own or in a vegetable juice or smoothie in the morning.

Rich in vitamins and minerals

Wheatgrass contains:

Beta carotene
Vitamin C
Vitamin K
Vitamin E

Iron
Fiber

Benefits of wheatgrass

Wheatgrass is mainly made up of chlorophyll, which cleanses and fortifies the organs and blood increasing red blood count. Chlorophyll is a very powerful detoxifier, detoxifying the liver and hence improving metabolism. It also detoxifies the body from heavy metal toxicity.

It is extremely alkaline and perfect for anyone who is over acidic.

It is good for weight loss as it regulates your metabolism.

It will give you an abundance of energy.

It is fantastic for the skin and slows down aging rejuvinating aging cells.

Is beneficial for fertility problems.

When to take wheatgrass

I usually take wheatgrass in the morning either on its own or mixed in a green smoothie. Mornings are when the body is most acidic so wheatgrass is perfect.
