In the summer one of my favourite fruits is watermelon. It is not only refreshing especially in this warm weather but it is a healing food which makes it even better. You can use the entire fruit; seeds and grind. By using the grind you reduce the sugar content. Watermelon is 92% water and It is incredibly good for the kidneys. Having had a kidney stone 17 years ago and suffered from several bouts of cystitis in the past, watermelon juice has become a must for me and given that it is so delicious makes it more enjoyable.

I normally eat watermelon or juice it or make ice lollies. It is just perfect in the summer. You can add it to salads if you like. I personally like to keep fruit separate and eat it on its own. However you decide to eat it enjoy!
