This Avocado Chocolate Smoothie is similar to my power date smoothie I did a few weeks back. I’ve added maca powder to satisfy those looking for a chocolate hit, and avocado to give it a rich, creamy texture.
I tend to have this smoothie in the mornings or sometimes in the afternoon if I am craving something sweet. It is delicious!
Avocado Chocolate Smoothie Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 1/2 an avocado
- 3 dates
- 1 cup of almond milk
- 1 tablespoon of raw cacao powder
- 1 tablespoon of almond butter
- 1 teaspoon of maca powder ( I use organic burst)
- 1 scoop of Sunwarrior vegan protein powder
- For the topping
- Cacao nibs and strawberries
Peel the banana and avocado, remove the stone from the avocado and dates and place all the ingredients into the blender and blend until lovely and smooth. You can add some ice if you prefer it cold.
Pour into a glass or bowl, add the strawberries and cacao nibs. Enjoy!
