Summer time is when I find myself craving fruits. Normally I tend to eat more vegetables than fruits but the warm weather leaves me wanting something refreshing. Fruit is very cleansing especially in the morning when the body is most acidic. Ideally fruit should be eaten on its own and in the mornings. This smoothie bowl is not only easy to make but very healthy, nutritious and delicious!
Ingredients
1 banana
1 cup of strawberries
2 tablespoons of quinoa flakes
5 almonds or 1 teaspoon of almond butter
120ml of almond milk
1 tablespoon of chia seeds
1 teaspoon of bee pollen
Place half the banana, the strawberries, quinoa flakes, almond milk and almonds in the food processor and blend till smooth. Pour in a bowl and put the remaining half banana sliced on top with some strawberries, chia seeds and bee pollen. Enjoy!
