Beetroots are great for liver detoxification and they purify the blood. They are rich in vitamins C, A and B6. Beetroot tops have more iron than spinach. Beetroots are good for treating: anemia, liver problems, circulatory problems, high and low blood pressure, kidney problems and much more. It can be quite a powerful juice to drink on its own so it is best to mix it with either apple, carrot or cucumber. I normally drink it with apples and carrots. Juicing is great as it gives your digestive system a rest and it takes 15 minutes for the juice to hit your blood stream.
Also it is important to remember that too much of anything can be bad for you. Beetroot juice is good for the liver but this does not mean you should be overdosing yourself. it is very important to rotate your greens so you are getting a wide variety into your diet, and not always having the same.
2 small beetroots
Scrub the beetroots well, revove the hard skin and chop into small pieces. Scrub clean the carrot, remove both ends. If the apples are organic and not waxed you can leave the skin on. Remove the seeds and cut into pieces. Put everything in your juicer, serve and drink. Make sure to always drink plenty of water after a concentrated juice.
