Spirulina Protein balls

These energy balls are ideal after a good work out. They are packed full of goodness and are super healthy. I eat them all the time after exercising. I prefer to make my own protein balls rather than buying protein bars.

Ingredients – will make 15-20 balls depending on size

1 cup of Medjool dates
1/2 cup of almonds
1/2 cup of cashew nuts
2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds
2 tablespoons of sesame seeds
2 tablespoons of chia seeds
1 tablespoon spirulina
1 tablespoon hemp protein powder or whey isolate protein
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon raw cacao powder

Method

Blend the nuts and seeds first in the blender then add the remaining ingredients into the blender till a sticky dough forms. Roll into bite size balls and roll into the desiccated coconut and place in the fridge. I divided the dough into two and only put the raw cacao powder into one half.
